Role: Email Marketing Executive

As an Email Marketing Executive, you will work closely with our marketing, SEO, account managers and occasionally the client directly to create a variety of email marketing campaigns. This role will involve all aspects of email marketing including content creation, design, implementation, strategy and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and optimise email marketing campaigns to drive engagement, conversions, and customer retention.
  • Plan and create compelling email content, including subject lines, copy, and visuals, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and messaging.
  • Use segmentation and personalisation strategies to deliver tailored messages to targeted audience groups.
  • Analyse email performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversions, etc.) and provide actionable insights to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Manage email lists, ensuring compliance with GDPR and best practices for list hygiene.
  • Work closely with the design team to create visually appealing and mobile-responsive email templates.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align email campaigns with broader marketing goals and initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with email marketing trends, tools, and technologies to ensure campaigns are innovative and effective.

A Bit About You

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in email marketing, with a portfolio or examples of successful campaigns.
  • Proficiency in email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot) and CRM systems.
  • Strong copywriting skills with a focus on creating engaging and persuasive content.
  • Understanding of email marketing best practices, including segmentation, automation, and A/B testing.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Basic design skills and experience working with tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or Figma.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and email compliance standards.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with e-commerce email marketing strategies, such as abandoned cart and upsell flows.
  • Familiarity with advanced analytics tools like Google Analytics or UTM tracking.
  • Understanding of SEO and its relationship with email campaigns.
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS for email template customization.

Your Day To Day

  • Morning Check-In: Begin with a brief team meeting to align on daily priorities and update everyone on your projects.
  • Creative Work: Most of your day will be focused on building and customising email campaigns and strategies, from coding and integrating designs to reporting and automating the next best plan.
  • Collaboration: You’ll work closely with the SEO and design teams to ensure the websites are optimised for performance and user experience.
  • Problem Solving: Address any development challenges as they arise, whether it’s fixing bugs or optimising site functionality.
  • Client Interaction: Occasionally, you might join calls with clients to discuss their needs and receive feedback on your work.
