Table of Contents

At Outrank, we’re passionate about our work and the people who do it.

Our commitment goes beyond the usual 9-5, which is why we make tangible contributions to our team and, in some cases, the organisations they work with.

Great North Run

Linzi GNR Phoot

The first event we’re highlighting is the AJ Bell Great North Run. First run by over 12,000 people in 1981, this high-profile run is one of the world’s largest races. Known for supporting fantastic causes, this race is being tackled by two of our SEO specialists – Linzi and Jordan.

Linzi has run the 13.1 miles before, completing the course in 2022, and this year she’s running for The Headlight Project. Based in Stockton-on-Tees, the project was founded in memory of Russ Devereux and aims to reduce the number of deaths by suicide in the Tees Valley area. Their work touches the lives of families and individuals in the area, and we hope you’ll join us in supporting Linzi.

Jordan is doing the Great North Run for the first time, running to raise funds for Dementia UK. There’s a group of runners in Hartlepool running for the organisation after seeing the effect of dementia on family members and friends. Dementia UK was founded in 1995, and its nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, offer life-changing support for families affected by dementia.

Professional Pool World Championships

Along with supporting a fantastic cause, we’re supporting one of our employees with their aspirations.

Antony Grimley has worked with us for five years as a Senior Account Manager, helping small to medium-sized businesses build a better SEO and online presence. He’s also a talented pool player who recently attended the IPA Professional World Championships in Newcastle, reaching the last 64.

We’re proud to support his exploits on the baize, and we hope to see great success in his professional and personal future!

Mayfield Park 7s

Up the road in Hartlepool, we’ve also committed to being one of the event sponsors for the Mayfield Park 7s Tournament.

Hosted by Hartlepool Rugby Club, the tournament will take place on May 25th 2024, and Ozzie the Otter will attend to present one of the trophies. The tournament will see teams from the region competing for the trophy, won last year by Hartlepool’s home side.

One of our SEO Consultants, Jordan, plays for Hartlepool Rugby Club and brought the event to our attention. We can’t wait to spend some time in Hartlepool celebrating the tournament!

Local Football

In the local community, we support two grassroots football clubs – Sedgefield Under-13s and Wynyard Under-7s. This support helps the teams with kits and equipment, ensuring they can fulfil their fixtures and give kids in the local area a positive experience each weekend.

On Easter Sunday, three of our sales team will take to the sky to complete a daring skydive for Age UK. Jack, Cameron, and Kyle have all committed to raising money for this fantastic charity, climbing three miles above the ground before taking the plunge. The boys will have around a minute freefall before deploying their parachutes and safely touching down with memories to last a lifetime.

Age UK was officially formed in 2010 after Age Concern and Help the Aged joined together, and they’re dedicated to helping everyone make the most of later life. They provide companionship, advice and support for older people who need it most.

The Future…

We’re always looking for ways to support our employees in their out-of-work pursuits, and we’re passionate about seeing them succeed. Putting our team first is one of the reasons we were recognised as a Great Place to Work in 2023-2024, and we’re aiming for greater things in 2024 and beyond.
